One of the most important aspects of being a client of Duet is the ability to choose your caregiver from a tremendous pool of unique and engaging individuals. In addition to hiring seasoned home care workers, we identify outstanding caregivers from the arts & performing arts, graduate programs, and various fields in human services. They possess a wide diversity of work experiences, talents, language skills, creative abilities, and various attributes that allow us to foster great matches.
I’m a native New Yorker. I have a sincere interest in conversing with people and sharing experiences. I have worked with seniors for the last 20 years. I feel I have found my calling through Duet in adding fun activities to the lives of others. I have an optimistic, empathetic attitude that my clients enjoy.
In my free time, I love to dance. I’m a huge lover of all things plants, as green is a color that speaks deeply to me. My role as a companion has been such a wonderful opportunity for cross-generational connection. The time I share with seniors is so humbling and full of teaching moments.
Coming from nine generations of Artists, Scientists, and Teachers; I have great curiosity about the world around me. I am a theater director and an interactive performance artist. I love engaging people, discovering connections, while joyously celebrating them for being exactly who they are. Duet forges enriching matches, so seniors and I can build an engaging connection.
I’m a devoted healthcare professional with a passion for helping others. In dedicating my life to taking care of people, each experience has been both humbling and incredibly rewarding. My work with Duet has allowed for me to hone my caregiving skills and truly connect with the seniors I’ve been lucky enough to support.
My passions are for social justice, classical theater and black history. Those interests have led me to work that advocates for those who are navigating our interconnected but unequal worlds. Duet allows me to continue my mission for our senior population. Past work includes being an Inclusion and Diversity Specialist for OPWDD, a Researcher and Coordinator for TriNet and Assoc. Artistic Director for The Harlem Shakespeare Festival.
